Assam VFA Recruitment 2026 The Directorate of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary, Assam has released Advertisement No. E-543943/71 dated 26 August 2026, inviting online applications for 200 posts of Veterinary Field Assistant (VFA) and its allied cadre under the department. The recruitment is issued in pursuance of Government of Assam approval vide letter No. E-837098/34 dated 26 August 2026.

Assam Veterinary Recruitment Details Post Name: Veterinary Field Assistant (VFA) and its allied cadre posts

Pay Scale: Pay Band-2 of ₹14,000 to ₹70,000 plus Grade Pay of ₹6,200 and other allowances as admissible from time to time

Residency: Candidates must be Indian citizens as defined under Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and permanent residents of Assam, with a valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued in Assam for educational purposes

Caste Certificate: SC/ST/OBC/MOBC candidates must upload a caste certificate issued by a competent authority of the Government of Assam, clearly indicating the caste, the Act/order under which it is recognized, and the candidate’s village or town of residence

Educational Qualification: Full-time HSSLC (Class 12) examination passed in Science stream with Biology as one of the subjects, from a recognized Board/Council/University.
