Chief Engineer cum Council HOD, Irrigation, Dima Hasao Autonomous Council (DHAC), Haflong has officially released an employment notification inviting offline applications from eligible Indian citizens for the recruitment of 23 Grade III and Grade IV vacancies in the Irrigation Department of Dima Hasao.

This recruitment is being conducted to fill regular Grade III and Grade IV positions under the administrative control of Dima Hasao Autonomous Council (DHAC), Haflong. Selected candidates will be placed in the respective Pay Bands and Grade Pay as per the Assam Services (ROP) Rules.

Vacancy Details

Eligibility Conditions

• Citizenship: Candidates must be an Indian citizen as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
• Employment Exchange: Candidates must possess a valid registration card from an Employment Exchange in Assam.
• Age Limit: 18 to 40 years as on 1st January 2026.
• Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

Educational Qualifications

• Sub-Engineer Gr-I: Passed ITI in Draftsmanship trade OR Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Junior Assistant: Graduate in any discipline from a UGC-recognized University with a minimum 6-month Computer Diploma Certificate.
• Section Assistant: Passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination.
• Khalasi / Chowkidar: Passed Class VIII (8th standard).

Selection Process

Documents Required

• 3 (three) copies of recent self-attested passport-size photographs (plus 1 affixed to the application form).
• Self-attested copies of academic certificates, mark sheets, and age-proof certificates.
• Self-attested copy of Caste Certificate (if applicable) and PRC.
• Computer Diploma Certificate of at least 6 months (for Junior Assistant post).
• Employment Exchange Registration Card.
• Self-addressed envelope (25cm x 17cm) affixed with a Rs. 5/- postal stamp and contact phone number.
• DHAC Court Fee Stamp of Rs. 10/- affixed to the application.

How to Apply

1. Download or obtain the Standard Form of Application as published in Schedule-XI of the Assam Gazette.
2. Fill out the form neatly and legibly in your own handwriting.
3. Affix one passport-sized photograph and the Rs. 10/- DHAC Court Fee Stamp to the form.
4. Attach all required self-attested testimonials and the self-addressed stamped envelope.
5. Place everything inside a sealed envelope clearly superscribing the name of the post applied for.
6. Submit the envelope by hand or post to: Office of the Additional Chief Engineer Cum Council HOD, Irrigation DHAC, Haflong on or before 15th October 2026 during office hours.
