Eligibility Conditions

1. Assistant Professor

• Educational Qualification: A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point scale) in a relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
• Mandatory Requirement: Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or CSIR, or a similar test accredited by UGC (like SLET/SET). Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009/2016 and subsequent amendments are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.

2. Controller of Examinations

• Educational Qualification: Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade.
• Experience: At least 15 years of experience as an Assistant Professor in Academic Level-11 and above, or 8 years of service in Academic Level-12 and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration; OR comparable experience in research establishment/higher education institutions; OR 15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.

Age Limit

The age criteria for all posts will be governed as per the latest UGC and Government of Assam norms. Age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC/MOBC, and PwBD candidates as per government rules.
